It didn't sink!

Test #1 was conclusive. Despite her 8 lbs, the "Alexandra" did not sink in the tub.
There wasa slight problem of balance, but repositioning the receiver battery solved it.
Check it out: beautiful!!!

Two years after...

I can't believe two years have passed since I started on this project...
Good news is that the ship is finally ready.
Next steps are to:
1- do a flotation test in the tub (hey, if the whole thing is going to sink, better be in my bathroom than in the pond)
2- do a test of the steam engine on dry land
3- if 1 and 2 are Ok, go for it!
I'm a bit anxious because the whole thing is damn heavy!
I'll weight it and report pictures soon

Steam engine Ship building

Ok, I've taken the step. I bought a steam engine from Cheddar Models in UK. Actually Cheddar Models is going out of business, and I bought one of the last "pintail" engine from a UK distributor.

Along with that, I bought a model of the "Alexandra" from Krich model, a german compmany.

I will try to post here the progress in building the Boiler, steam engine and model.
